Marsha Rteimeh opened the Arab American Center in 1993 in order to serve immigration seekers to the United States of America. The AAC under Marsha Rteimeh rapidly developed a reputation for its excellent services and work ethic. Since then the Arab American Center has helped thousands of people fulfill their dreams of migrating to the United States of America and beginning new lives.

Although the AAC began as an immigration office, the influx of Iraqi refugees into Jordan over the years made the needs of asylum seekers apparent. Since the late 1990’s the AAC has used its legal expertise regarding immigration to additionally assist refugees.

For the past 18 years, the Arab American Center has been highly regarded by both the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jordan. In addition the center cooperates closely with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Organization for Migration, and the United States Embassy in Amman, Jordan. The United States Embassy characterizes the Arab American Center as operating at the highest professional standard.

Please note that the AAC is not affiliated with the UNHCR or the IOM. UNHCR and IOM policy clearly states that no office or organization has the right to represent refugees or speak on their behalf.
